Boudoir is an intimate and creative experience meant to celebrate all body types, ages, sizes, races, and genders. It’s an opportunity to be yourself, without judgment or societal pressures. Your session is not about comparing yourself to some ideal image of how a woman "should" look - it’s about being you, with all your strengths and insecurities. It’s about taking the time to honor yourself and feel beautiful and confident in your own skin. By booking a boudoir session with me, you’re investing in an experience that allows you to shine and be your true self - not just in front of the camera, but in life as well. A boudoir is a space where you can be completely comfortable in your own skin and allow yourself to truly express yourself without fear of judgment or criticism.

The role of the photographer is to guide and support you. Provide options and suggestions to help you feel your most confident, strong, and beautiful. From hair and makeup, putting together your vision board, to what greets you when you end the home-based studio, and the use of specific angles and lighting to bring out your inner goddess.

Comparisons are truly useless. While someone else may have similar experiences to you, similar features or interests, no one can wear them the way you do. No one can wear them the way you do. No one else can speak in the way that you do. No other person can embody your unique qualities quite the way that you can. When you strip away all the superficial external trappings of “beauty” and look inside yourself you will find that you are truly beautiful in every single way. It’s a lesson that all women need to learn for themselves and, in my opinion, it’s one of the most important lessons that we can learn as human beings.

Society has dictated to women from the beginning of time that there is a specific standard for beauty. This is often completely unrealistic, or worse, entirely fake altogether. Women everywhere are constantly bombarded with images of beautiful women in the media who are airbrushed to look flawless and appear to have no flaws whatsoever. This can leave many women feeling inadequate and insecure about their own physical appearance. But this is not how real women actually look in real life. Women all over the world are imperfect and have insecurities about their looks just like you. Just because you don’t look like a supermodel doesn’t mean that you are any less beautiful than someone who is perfectly sculpted by Photoshop. We are all unique in our own special ways and that is what makes us beautiful! The power to feel comfortable with our own bodies and feel good about ourselves is something that we each have the power to choose for ourselves. You are beautiful just the way you are! Don’t let other people’s opinions of you impact how you view yourself.

The purpose of a boudoir shoot is to create a series of photos that you will love to look at and feel proud of for years to come. These images should reflect who you are as a person and celebrate your natural beauty. They are meant to help you celebrate your body and take pride in what you have accomplished in this life so far.
