Boudoir is not just for women. At London Boudoir by Adam Csomor, we offer male boudoir photography in London from our private studio in Raynes Park, south-west London, close to Wimbledon. Whether you want a bold set of portraits for yourself or a thoughtful gift for your partner, we will help you relax, look your best and enjoy the experience, even if you have never stood in front of a camera before.

Can men do boudoir photography?

Absolutely. Boudoir is about confidence, character and feeling good in your own skin, and none of that depends on gender. Men of every body shape, size and age are welcome, and you do not need a six-pack or any modelling experience. Adam Csomor is an AIBP award-winning photographer, and as a male boudoir photographer he brings 12 years of massage therapy experience and a keen interest in fitness, which gives him a real understanding of the human body and how to show it at its best.

You might book to mark a milestone birthday, to celebrate a fitness goal you have worked hard for, or simply to see yourself in a new way. Whatever your reason, it is a good one, and feeling a little unsure at first is completely normal.

What styles can I choose?

We plan the look with you before the day, and there are three directions to consider. You can stick to one or mix them:

• Classic: moody lighting, strong shapes and a timeless, refined feel.

• Sporty: athletic and energetic, a natural fit if training is a big part of your life.

• Playful: relaxed and cheeky, with plenty of personality and humour.

Not sure which suits you? That is fine. Tell us a little about yourself and who the photos are for, and we will suggest a direction. Mixing two styles can also give you more variety to choose from when you view your photos.

What should I wear?

Bring clothes that feel like you. A few ideas for male boudoir outfits:

• Well-fitting boxers or briefs in a colour you like

• A crisp shirt you can wear open, or a tailored jacket

• Jeans or smart trousers

• Gym kit or sportswear for a sporty set

• Personal touches, such as a watch you always wear

Will you help me pose?

Yes, every step of the way. Adam guides every pose step by step, from how you stand to where you look, so you never have to guess. He will show you poses that suit your style, from relaxed seated shots to strong standing poses that show your shape. If something feels awkward, just say, and we will try something else.

Posing and lighting do most of the work, and every image is fully retouched at no extra charge. Adam edits less than many boudoir photographers, so you will still look like yourself. Barbi, Adam's wife and co-founder, is also present at every shoot to help and guide you.

Is male boudoir a good gift for a partner?

It makes a memorable and very personal gift. You might surprise your partner with a luxury fine art album, a metallic wall print or a set of prints for a birthday, an anniversary or your wedding. Your session is 100% private and secure, and we only share images online with your written permission, so the surprise stays between you and us until you are ready. Digital images arrive through a password-protected link by email, which makes them easy to keep private.

How much does it cost?

Sessions start from £395. Your photos, prints and albums are chosen separately as collections, and you view your images at the studio on the same day as your shoot. Do I need to be in great shape?

No. Male boudoir is for every body shape, size and age. Adam guides each pose and uses lighting to show you at your best, so there is no need to bulk up, slim down or change anything before your shoot. Come as you are and we will do the rest.

Who will be at my shoot?

Adam, the photographer and founder of London Boudoir, and Barbi, his wife and co-founder, who is present at every shoot to help and guide you. If you would feel more comfortable with someone you know there too, you are welcome to bring a friend.

How soon will I get my photos?

You view your photos at the studio right after the shoot and choose what to order. Prints arrive in about 7 to 14 days, and digital images arrive through a password-protected link by email, so you can enjoy them privately.

Can we talk before the shoot?
