London Boudoir: Capturing the Emotion and Excitement of Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a short, remarkable chapter, and maternity boudoir photography in London is a beautiful way to remember it. London Boudoir by Adam Csomor is a private studio in Raynes Park, south-west London, close to Wimbledon, and Adam has photographed boudoir pregnancy shoots before. A maternity boudoir photoshoot is intimate, gentle and all about celebrating you and your bump, at a pace that suits you. You do not need modelling experience or any idea how to pose, and you do not need to feel confident before you arrive. That is our job.

When is the best time for a maternity boudoir session?

As a general guide, around 28 to 34 weeks is commonly recommended. Every pregnancy is different, so please follow your midwife's advice and choose a time when you feel well. It helps to get in touch early so we can plan around your due date, and if you need to move your session, rescheduling costs £25.

Before your shoot, we can talk through your ideas at a consultation in Wimbledon, or by phone or video call if that is easier. It is a good chance to tell us how you are feeling, what you would like to wear and whether your partner would like to join in.

Will I be comfortable?

Your comfort comes first. Take a break whenever you need one, whether that is to sit down, have a drink of water or simply rest, and we will pause. Adam has 12 years of massage therapy experience and a keen interest in fitness, so he understands the body and guides you into poses that feel supported rather than strained. You never need to hold a position that feels uncomfortable. Posing and lighting do most of the work, and every image is fully retouched at no extra charge, with a light, natural touch.

Hair and makeup are done in house at the studio, so you can sit back and be looked after. Barbi, Adam's wife and co-founder, is present at every shoot to help and guide you, and to make sure you have everything you need.

What should I wear?

Choose maternity boudoir outfits that feel soft, comfortable and a little bit special. Some ideas to bring:

  • Lingerie or a bralette that sits comfortably with your bump

  • A sheer or flowing robe

  • Your partner's oversized shirt, worn open

  • A long knitted cardigan or soft wrap

  • A length of soft fabric to drape, for a more artistic look

Pieces that show the shape of your bump work beautifully, and soft, loose layers can be opened or draped as you feel comfortable. Bring a few options and we will help you decide on the day. Leave anything tight or scratchy at home, because comfort shows in your photos.

Can my partner join in?

Yes, if you would like them to. A partner's hands resting on your bump, or a quiet moment together, can make a lovely addition to your images. Let us know when you book and we will plan a few shots of you together. We photograph couples too, so we are comfortable guiding two people at once.

Will my photos stay private?

Your session is 100% private and secure. We only share images online with your written permission, and saying no is completely fine. After the shoot, you view your photos at the studio and choose what to order. Prints arrive in about 7 to 14 days, and digital images come through a password-protected link by email.

How much does it cost?

Maternity sessions start from £395. Your photos, prints and albums are chosen separately as collections after your shoot. We also offer a 100% money-back guarantee: if you are not blown away by your photos, we refund your session fee. Please ask us for details and we will explain everything clearly before you book.

Ready to book?

With a maternity shoot, timing matters, so it is worth getting in touch early. To book or ask a question, call or text 07881 528990, email hello@londonboudoir.co.uk or join the 2026 waitlist.

Questions people ask

Should I check with my midwife first?

Yes, that is a good idea. Your midwife knows your pregnancy best, so follow their advice on timing and anything to avoid. On the day, tell us about anything that affects how you feel, and Adam will adapt each pose so it stays comfortable and supported.

What if I do not feel confident about my body right now?

That is completely understandable, and you do not need to feel confident before you arrive. We photograph every body shape, size and age. Posing and lighting do most of the work, and Adam edits less than many boudoir photographers, so your images still look like you.

Can I order an album from my maternity shoot?

Yes. Our products include luxury fine art albums, metallic wall prints, prints and digital downloads, sold in collections. If you need an album by a particular date, book 6 to 8 weeks before you need it. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible, so just ask.

Where is the studio?

Our studio is at 67b Bushey Road, London SW20 8TE, in Raynes Park, close to Wimbledon. If travelling feels like a lot late in pregnancy, we also offer pre-shoot consultations by phone or video call, as well as in Wimbledon.
