I've been getting a lot of emails lately from women who are confused about how boudoir photographs could possibly cost so much.
They're wondering if I'm charging too much for these intimate images and whether they should try to do it themselves or find a cheap alternative...
There are many reasons why boudoir photography is considered to be an expensive service.
First and foremost, the work is highly specialized. Unlike wedding photography, which can encompass a wide range of photographic styles and genres, boudoir work is typically limited in scope and style to a very specific niche of beautiful portraits.

First of all, I am willing to bet that actually, most Boudoir Photographers are not as expensive. You can find a lot of photographers out here who are not that expensive, happy do to it for a couple of hundred or even for free, but if you are looking for a professional result which totally worth for money then you should be ready to spend more money.
You even can ask a friend who has a camera to take Boudoir photos for you, but you not likely going to be happy with the end results and not look professional at all. Because it is not going to be as experienced as a photographer who spends thousands on training, education, and equipment.

To create art, you have to have a good understanding of light, angels, how to pose clients, and the fundamental of photography.
Yes... Boudoir photography is art, photography is literally translated as painting with light.

What is a Boudoir Photo Shoot Worth To You?
A Boudoir photoshoot is a luxury experience, it's the same as a vacation or a day at the spa. Also bear in mind that it's as much about the experience of a boudoir shoot as it is the final images. The vast majority of women are wanting this type of session to boost their confidence, celebrate a milestone, or to see themselves in a different light.
Most women have a hard time justifying spending money on themselves but have no problems spending it on their spouse or children. There is a feeling of guilt or of being “selfish”, but in reality, doing something for you is the opposite of being selfish.
Sure boudoir photography isn't necessary - nor are Gucci clothes or a Rolex watch so it simply is a case of what you value. For many women, at certain times a Boudoir Session is EXACTLY what they need to lift confidence, restore self-belief and give them that boost to rise above everyday life.
For many of my clients, it's having FUN, letting go of their worries for a few hours, and learning to feel sexy in their bodies again. It's about investing in themselves because they deserve to treat themselves to something amazing and beautiful. It's about giving them the freedom to embrace their femininity and celebrate how precious and amazing they are as a woman.

TIME...
So a Professional photographer spends hours planning your perfect session...
Whilst we see each other for 2 to 3 hours at the boudoir shoot that's just the tip of the iceberg. Beforehand there will have been time spent giving you information, replying to emails, arranging my H&MU artist if required, and booking the studio if the shoot will take place there. Then there is the time spent editing your images ready for delivery and following up to make sure you're happy.
Every image I give a boudoir client is individually edited - to perfect the composition, color, tones, and lighting contrast as well as to use technology to help out with those unwanted lines and blemishes. Every image takes around 10 minutes to create and I include up to 50 with my most expensive package. That's 8 hours' work!
Add to that uploading, creating an album, and organizing prints and framing and in total, a boudoir shoot requires around 14-16 hours of work.
Even a plumber would charge more than I do as an hourly rate!

I love what I do and I pour my heart and soul into every shoot but I do it for a reason, and that reason is to make YOU look and feel beautiful.
It's my mission to inspire and empower women to love themselves and feel good about themselves.
There's nothing more empowering than being photographed in a beautiful lingerie set and feeling sexy and confident in your OWN skin. I truly believe that every woman is beautiful and I want to show you exactly how beautiful you are through my images.
